This is literally what the game is. From the story, the absolutely orgasmic soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, the sexy level designs and most importantly of all, the game mechanics...They all work like clockwork.

In the game, it places you 5 years after the original game and you are among the selected members for the Task Force 141, a counter terrorist group that is after a man named Valdemir Makarov, who i swear looks alot like Dean Gaffney. You also get to play as a soldier for the US Rangers, which is just as detailed a story as the TF 141s story is. The game itself literally takes you on a world assault from the training grounds of Afghanistan, to storming the gulag and even taking back Washington DC. Theres a surgical rush as the game runs down the most powerful of action films and shows such as Red Dawn, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan(Which Of Their Own Accord is reminiscent of) and all 7 seasons of 24. The most controversial part though has to be the mission "No Russian", in which you play as one of the four disciples of the Terminator as you literally send the USA a message. I think ill be proclaimed a terrorist and must be shot down for saying this, but i really like that mission. You know that Crowning Moment of Awesome in the Terminator where Arnold crashes the car through the police station and shoots down the entire police station, relentlessly searching for Sarah Connor? Thats exactly what the mission is like, but cooler. The music is composed by classical legend Hans Zimmer, who can claim himself as the crowning music of Awesome. The music flows right through other games and films such as Gears of War and The Dark Knight. It isnt perfect though, the dialogue is a tiny bit corny and whilst the multiplayer itself is ok, the maps are at the moment...Well lets say, not excatly Call of Duty 4. Theres no maps that really excite you such as Vacant or Crash. But overall though this game is to the First Person Shooter what Citizen Kane is to Films. Its all of the best crowning moment of awesomes rolled into one. Game of the Year? not a chance. Game of the Generation more like.
